Ferris State dropped two games to Colgate last weekend. It was the Bulldogs first two home contests of the season, and the Colgate special teams were the key in the weekend series.
Colgate scored 3 shorthanded goals and 4 power play goals on the weekend. There were a lot of special teams play as both games featured over 16 or more minor penalties each game.
The first game Ferris State lost 5-4. Nick Scheible had two goals in the loss. The second game Ferris State lost 4-2. Carter Thompson and Derek Nesbitt each had a goal in the game. Derek MacIntyre made his first collegiate start in net.
