Warriors still looking for win column after Bemidji sweep

Eight games into the season, the Wayne State Warriors (0-7-1, 0-3-1 CHA) are still looking for answers. Over the weekend the Green and Gold played two solid games at the Coliseum against the CHA benchmark Bemidji State Beavers (7-1-0, 3-1-0 CHA), but still came out with a pair of losses. The off week couldn’t come at a better time as the Warriors will try to regroup before a pair of games n Schenectady, NY against the Union Dutchmen on Nov. 25 and 26.

Friday

The Warriors got on the board first with a Mark Cannon (pictured) goal at 11:44 of the opening period, but after that the Beavers dominated play and skated away with a 4-1 victory.

Lou Garritan notched the game winner, shorthanded at 10:26 of the second and Matt Climie made 25 saves for the win.

Will Hooper earned the start at the other end and turned aside 19 of 22 shots.
