WSU's Toys for Tots drive a success

The Wayne State University Department of Athletics has completed its annual "Toys for Tots" drive.

The WSU Athletic Department offered free admission at athletic events to those who donated a toy to the program. Through the generosity of Warrior fans, Wayne State Athletics was able to collect over 500 toys this year. Key contributors to the drive this year were the Wayne State Department of Communications and the WSU women's hockey team who worked very hard to support the cause this year.

The objectives of the Toys for Tots program are to help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable natural resources - our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
