The Finlandia women ended their season on a down note last weekend as the Lions were shutout in back-to-back NCHA league games at first-place Wisconsin-Stevens Point.On Friday, goalie Katie Markovich made 25 saves in a 5-0 loss while the next night, Corinne Czekaj stopped 30 in a tight 1-0 defeat.
Finlandia finishes the season 7-15-3 overall and 1-12-2 (last place) in NCHA play.
The bulk of the team should stay intact next season as no seniors were on the squad this year.
Finlandia's men's team starts MCHA playoff action Friday hosting Northland.
