Wayne State sophomore Melissa Boal was honored as the CHA Offensive Player of the Week. It is the second time this season that Boal has received the CHA's weekly honor.
While the Warriors lost both games at Connecticut last weekend, Boal had a brilliant weekend of scoring. She notched her second career hat trick in Friday's game and added a goal and an assist on Saturday for a five-point weekend.
Fellow Warriors Tegan Schroeder and Brandi Frakie were nominated for Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
The Warriors face off against Cornell this weekend in Detroit for their home opener.
