Lawson, Fraser named WJC alternate captains

Defenseman Taylor Chorney was named captain of the 2007 U.S. National Junior Team today.

Chorney is making his second appearance on a U.S. National Junior Team after having played in all seven games for Team USA at the 2006 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship.

In addition, two Michigan natives in defenseman Kyle Lawson (New Hudson/University of Notre Dame) and forward Jim Fraser (Port Huron/Harvard University) were named as alternate captains.

Both Lawson and Fraser are playing on their first U.S. Junior National Team.
