Tecumseh Chiefs forward Travis Ouellette has accepted an NCAA scholarship to Ferris State University for the 2008-2009 season.This season, the 18-year-old Ouellette has nine goals and 13 assists for 22 – second among the Western Ontario (Junior B) Hockey League top scorers. Last season, the Windsor, Ont., native scored 31 goals among 63 points and was chosen for the WOHL All-Star team.
Prior to playing for the Chiefs, the 5-foot-8, 160-pound Ouellette earned Rookie of the Year honors as a member of the Essex 73’s of the Great Lakes Junior C League.
