The Elmira Jackals announced yesterday that they have signed forward Brian Bicek to an ECHL contract.
Bicek just completed his final season with Western Michigan. In his four-year career in Kalamazoo, Bicek tallied 29 goals and 54 points in 145 career contests. His best season came in his junior campaign (2006-07) when he potted 15 goals and 26 points in 37 games, finishing fifth in team scoring.
Skating in just one season of junior hockey with the Cleveland Barons in 2003-04, Bicek picked up a league-leading 45 assists as part of a 71-point campaign that saw him finish second in the NAHL scoring race.
