Wayne State's Franck chosen to Canadian inline team

Wayne State University women's hockey assistant coach Nicolette Franck has been selected to the 2008 Canadian Women's National Inline Hockey Team.

Franck, a former four-year goaltender at Yale University, will join Team Canada at the 2008 World Inline Hockey Championships, which will take place July 5-12 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Franck recently completed her first her behind the bench for the Wayne State Warriors who posted a school record 22 wins.

After graduating from Yale with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Franck spent two years in the National Women's Hockey League, playing for the Brampton Thunder (pictured) and Toronto Aeros. She also played goalie for the 2006 Women's National Inline Hockey Team, winning a silver medal at the FIRS Inline World Championship and gold at the North American Roller Hockey Championships (NARCh) Tournament, where she was named Top Goaltender.
