His final game at Michigan State was the Spartans' banner-raising ceremony to celebrate the 2007 NCAA championship on Oct. 19, 2007. He also served as the public address announcer for MSU baseball for several years.

Calling hours will be on Monday, June 23, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Estes-Leadley Funeral Home, 325 W. Washtenaw, Lansing. The funeral will take place at noon on Tuesday.

Great announcer, great friend, great man. Michigan State and Spartan Hockey are sadder without him. Rest in peace, Chief.
