Forward Micheline Frappier, a native of Val Caron, Ontario, recently became the fifth prospective student-athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to enroll at Wayne State this fall and join the women's hockey team.

Frappier scored 61 goals, including 13 game-winners, and collected 44 assists with the Sudbury Lady Wolves Midget AA team during the 2007-08 season, leading the team to a 49-16-9 record. She helped the squad win the Midget AA Divisions of the Stoney Creek, Clarington, London and Ottawa Tournaments and end the season by capturing the OWHA Provincial title.

She graduated from L'Horizon Secondary School in 2008, where she played four years on the varsity hockey team and was named Most Valuable Player three times. As team captain, Frappier led the varsity girls' hockey league in scoring (19-12--31), as the Aigles finished in second place during the 2007-08 regular season (9-2-1 record). Frappier scored four goals in the NOSSA "AAA" Girls High School Hockey Championship game and was named NOSSA Tournament MVP as her team won the championship and made its first OFSAA appearance in 2008.

Frappier scored 28 goals with 13 assists during the 2006-07 season, while totaling 25 points in each of her first two years at L'Horizon.
