
Wayne State assistant coach Nicolette Franck earned her second silver medal as a member of Team Canada at the 2008 FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships, held July 6-12 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Canada went 3-1 in round robin play prior to a 7-1 victory in the quarterfinals against Spain and a 2-0 shutout against the United States in Friday's semifinal. The squad fell 3-2 in overtime in the gold medal game Saturday against the Czech Republic.
Franck, a former goaltender for Yale University, also won silver with Team Canada in 2006.
