Adrian to skate in Finland this winter

Compiled by MiCHO Staff

The Adrian College men's varsity hockey team has finalized its Finland Experience Trip for Dec. 12 - Dec. 19 and is selling raffle tickets for an all-inclusive trip for two to join the team in Helsinki and Vierumäki, Finland.

The drawing will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15 between the second and third periods of the team's home game versus Finlandia.

This all-inclusive grand prize can be substituted for $2,500 cash. A second prize limited gold jersey (which players wear for special games) and a third prize hockey track suit will also be awarded. Winners do not need to be present at the game to win. If winners are absent, they will be notified via telephone.

The team will be staying at the Finnish National Training Center in the city of Vierumäki, where they will practice and play exhibition games. They are currently seeking out their opponents.

Only 500 tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are one for $50 or three for $100. Tickets may be purchased by visiting the Arrington Ice Arena on the Adrian College campus or by calling head coach Ron Fogarty at 517-264-3838 or Kate Hamilton at 517-265-5161 ext. 5011.

The Bulldogs kick off their season on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6:00 p.m. with their annual Black-Gold game. The team will be presented with their MCHA championship rings and a skate with the Bulldogs will follow the game.
