The Wayne State Warriors (3-2-1) pushed their winning streak to three games after throttling the Colgate Raiders, 6-2, at the City Sports Center on Friday night.
Sam Poyton (pictured) led the Green and Gold with her fourth career hat trick and Melissa Boal scored for the sixth time in five games.
Freshman Alyssa Baldin and Veronique Laramee-Paquette also turned on the light for WSU.
Natalie Payne also pitched in from the blueline with three assists.
Hannah Milan and Beth Rotenberg scored for Colgate.
First-year netminder Lindsay Park steered away 28 shots in net for the victory.
The tide changed on Saturday as Wayne State never led and Colgate started fast and held on for a 3-2 win.
After trailing 2-0, courtesy of Sam Hunt and Elin Brown goals, Poyton notched her fourth marker of the weekend to cut the Raiders' lead in half.
Colgate went back on top with a Rotenberg power-play goal near the midway point of the third and with the goalie pulled, Laramee-Paquette scored with just 15 seconds left on the clock.
Park started in goal again for the Warriors and stopped 21 of 24 shots.
Wayne State is idle next weekend before heading to Vermont for a two-game series against the Catamounts on Nov. 7-8.
