MiCHO Power Poll 11.19.08

It was a crazy weekend for Michigan teams, but the Michigan Wolverines remain on top of the MiCHO Power Poll after their home-and-home split last weekend with Western Michigan.

Ferris State is the new No. 2 after splitting with Nebraska-Omaha, while Michigan State falls to No. 3 after being swept by Miami for their fourth consecutive loss.

The Michigan Tech Huskies, by way of their tie at Minnesota, leapfrog Northern Michigan into the fifth spot and the Wildcats fall to No. 7 as WMU lands at No. 6 courtesy of their upset win at Michigan last Friday night.

Complete Poll

1) Michigan, 8-4-0 (split with Western Michigan)
2) Ferris State, 5-4-3 (split with Nebraska-Omaha)
3) Michigan State, 4-6-2 (swept by Miami)
4) Lake Superior, 3-4-3 (tied, lost to Notre Dame)
5) Michigan Tech, 2-7-1 (tied, lost to Minnesota)
6) Western Michigan, 2-7-3 (split with Michigan)
7) Northern Michigan, 2-7-1 (swept by Bowling Green)

Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com editors Matt Mackinder and Tom Balog will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. The poll will comprise the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
