Being swept at Nebraska-Omaha this past weekend has Michigan State mired in a six-game losing streak - their longest in 27 years.
Again, just two goals were scored all weekend as Matt Schepke's power-play goal in Saturday's 3-1 loss snapped an 0-for-37 slump for the Spartans.
Drew Palmisano made 33 saves last night.
Friday night, Kurt Kivisto tallied for MSU (4-8-2, 2-6-2 CCHA) and Jeff Lerg stopped 23 shots for Michigan State.
Michigan State will be on the road again next weekend when it takes on Big Ten foes Wisconsin and Minnesota in the College Hockey Showcase. The Spartans and Badgers will face off in Madison on Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern, followed by MSU's game at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis on Saturday, also at 8 p.m Eastern. The Spartans' game against the Golden Gophers will air live on the Big Ten Network.
