The University of Michigan released the schedule for their 2009-10 season this week.
The Wolverines' 37-game, regular-season slate includes 16 contests at Yost Ice Arena and the annual Great Lakes Invitational tournament.
The regular season gets underway in Anchorage, Alaska, when U-M takes part in the Kendall Auto Hockey Classic. Michigan plays Alaska in a non-conference contest on Oct. 9 before facing host Alaska-Anchorage on Oct. 10.
Michigan's home opener comes against Niagara on Thursday, Oct. 22. Two nights later on Saturday, Oct. 24, the Wolverines head east to Boston to match up against defending national champion Boston University.
Highlighting the road portion of the schedule is the Feb. 6 outdoor matchup against Wisconsin in the Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
