Three more Huskies ink NHL deals

Former Michigan Tech forward Chris Conner has signed a one-year contract with the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, while former defenseman John Scott signed a one-year contract extension with the Minnesota Wild and fellow blueliner Clay Wilson penned a two-year deal with the Florida Panthers.

Exact terms of all three contracts were not released.

Conner played 71 games for the Dallas Stars over the past three seasons, finishing with seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points. The Westland native tallied 129 points (69 goals, 60 assists) in 151 games for the Huskies from 2002-06.

Scott tallied one assist in 20 games for the Wild last season. The St. Catharines, Ont., native recorded 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 126 games for the Huskies from 2002-06.

Wilson recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in 14 career games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers.

Wilson played in 148 games for the Huskies from 2001-05, scoring 17 goals with 40 assists for 57 points.
