Salmon Arm Silverbacks Press ReleaseThe Salmon Arm SilverBacks of the British Columbia Hockey League announced Monday that Tyler Gubb has committed to Michigan Tech University for the 2010-2011 season.
The 20-year-old assistant captain, a native of Stouffville, Ont., is playing in his first season with the SilverBacks and was acquired in an offseason deal with the Victoria Grizzlies.
“Tyler has been great for us on and off the ice this season," Salmon Arm GM Rylan Ferster said. "He comes to play every night.”
Gubb currently has 20 goals and 23 assists for 43 points along with 73 penalty minutes in 46 games played.
