Culhane out at WMU at end of '09-10

WMU Press Release

Western Michigan has announced that at the conclusion of this 2009-10 season, Jim Culhane will be relieved of his duties as the head coach of the Broncos.

He has accepted a reassignment within the office of development at WMU.

“After a very diligent evaluation of our hockey program, we have made the decision to move toward a new direction in terms of the leadership of Bronco hockey,’’ commented Western Michigan athletic director Kathy Beauregard.

Culhane will coach the Broncos through the remainder of the 2009-10 campaign. A national search to find the new head coach of the WMU hockey program will begin shortly.
