MiCHO Power Poll 03.10.10 - FINAL

In the last MiCHO Power Poll of the 2009-2010 season, Michigan State retains the top spot heading into their CCHA quarterfinal match-up with Michigan this weekend in East Lansing.

The Spartans had a first round bye last weekend, while Michigan, No. 3 in this week's poll, swept Lake Superior State in Ann Arbor.

Ferris State stays at No. 2 and was also idle last weekend. The Bulldogs host Nebraska-Omaha this weekend at home.

Northern Michigan, arguably a better team than its No. 4 ranking this poll indicates, had a bye last weekend and hosts Alaska this weekend.

The Lakers finish the year No. 5, while Western Michigan (swept by Alaska) ends at No. 6 and Michigan Tech, swept by North Dakota last weekend, brings up the rear heading into their WCHA playoff series at Denver this weekend.

1) Michigan State (idle)

The next MiCHO Power Poll will be the second week of October.

Each week during the regular season, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. Contrary to popular belief, there is no coin flip involved. The poll comprises the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
