Nagle blanks Spartans Tuesday night

Michigan State lost its third straight game Tuesday night as Ferris State came into Munn Ice Arena and shutout the Spartans, 3-0.

Ferris State goalie Pat Nagle made 27 saves in the win.

Eric Alexander scored two goals for FSU, including an empty-netter, while Chad Billins added the other.

For the Spartans (4-6-3, 2-6-1-0 CCHA), Drew Palmisano finished with 24 stops.

MSU heads to the College Hockey Showcase this weekend, playing at Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The Bulldogs (7-5-3, 4-4-3-2 CCHA) are idle this weekend, but get back on the ice next weekend with a home-and-home series with Michigan State starting Dec. 3 in Big Rapids.
