MiCHO Power Poll 01.26.2011

Once again, Michigan rules the MiCHO Power Poll.

Fresh off their sweep at home of Alaska, the Wolverines remain atop the weekly poll.

Northern Michigan picked up a sweep of Ferris State and holds down the No. 2 ranking.

Western Michigan stays in the third spot this week, while Michigan State jumps one notch to No. 4 after a split with then-No. 11 Miami.

Ferris State falls to fifth and Lake Superior State ramains in sixth.

What can be said about Michigan Tech?

1) Michigan (swept Alaska)
2) Northern Michigan (swept Ferris State)
3) Western Michigan (shootout loss, shootout win against Lake Superior State)
4) Michigan State (split with Miami)
5) Lake Superior State (shootout win, shootout loss against Western Michigan)
6) Ferris State (swept by Northern Michigan)
7) Michigan Tech (swept by Minnesota-Duluth)

Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. Contrary to popular belief, there is no coin flip involved. The poll comprises the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
