MiCHO Power Poll 02.09.2011

By the slimmest of margins, Michigan is once again the No. 1 team in this week's MiCHO Power Poll.

Hot on the Wolverines' heels is quite possibly the hottest team in the nation in Western Michigan, riding a nation's-best 13-game unbeaten streak.

Ferris State sits No. 3, while Lake Superior State jumps two spots to No. 4 after sweeping Northern Michigan, tumbling to No. 6 this week.

Michigan State occupies the No. 5 spot, while Michigan Tech and its 24-game winless streak sit in the cellar.

1) Michigan (swept by Miami)
2) Western Michigan (swept Bowling Green)
3) Ferris State (swept Alaska)
4) Lake Superior State (swept Northern Michigan)
5) Michigan State (split with Ohio State)
6) Northern Michigan (swept by Lake Superior State)
7) Michigan Tech (swept by Alaska-Anchorage)

Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. Contrary to popular belief, there is no coin flip involved. The poll comprises the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
