MiCHO Power Poll 10.19.2011

In week two of the MiCHO Power Poll, Michigan remains where it ended last week.

The Wolverines beat St. Lawrence last Thursday at home and are also the top team in the country, according to the good folks at USCHO.

The rest of the poll also looks the same as the Oct. 12 MiCHO Power Poll.

Western Michigan stays at No. 2 after playing to two ties on the road at Union.

Ferris State, with a sweep of RPI, sits at No. 3 and Michigan Tech is No. 4 after taking two straight from perennial power Wisconsin.

The bottom three has Northern Michigan, after a sweep at home of St. Cloud State, at No. 5, Lake Superior State sitting sixth after getting both from Michigan State and those Spartans at No. 7.

1) Michigan (beat St. Lawrence)
2) Western Michigan (tied Union twice)
3) Ferris State (swept RPI)
4) Michigan Tech (swept Wisconsin)
5) Northern Michigan (swept St. Cloud State)
6) Lake Superior State (swept Michigan State)
7) Michigan State (swept by Lake Superior State)

Each week during the season, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. Contrary to popular belief, there is no coin flip involved. The poll comprises the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
