Michigan Press ReleaseMichigan sophomore defenseman Jon Merrill has been reinstated to the team, effective immediately, after missing the first 22 games this season following a suspension prior to the start of the season.
"Jon's indefinite suspension has been lifted," Wolverines coach Red Berenson said. "He has paid for his poor decision and is back on the team."
Merrill, the MiCHO Rookie of the Year for the 2010-11 season, will dress for the Wolverines tonight at home against Lake Superior State.
