The NAHL's Michigan Warriors might be struggling on the ice but they achieved one of their main goals Wednesday when they learned they'd be sending their first player to college.
And it's not just any college. It's one of the best in the country both in the classroom and on the ice.
Defenseman Mike Szuma gave a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan after using his second official visit to tour the Ann Arbor campus. Michigan is ranked No. 4 in the nation and has won a record nine NCAA championships.
