Ferris State jumped out to a 2-0 lead and held on to beat Michigan State, 2-1, Thursday night in Big Rapids.
Bulldogs' goaltender Pat Nagle made 19 saves for his 12th win of the year, but lost his shutout bid at 15:01 of the third period when Daultan Leveille scored to make it a 2-1 game.
Nagle's dozen wins equal a career-high set last season.
Jordie Johnston and FSU captain Zach Redmond tallied in the first period for Ferris State (12-12-4, 9-10-3 CCHA).
Drew Palmisano finished with 27 stops for the Spartans (10-13-4, 6-11-2 CCHA), who have lost three of four meetings this season to the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are idle this weekend, while MSU heads to Joe Louis Arena to play Michigan on Saturday night.
