Broncos Split for Christmas

Sniper Brent Walton picked up three
more goals on Friday

The Western Michigan Broncos (9-8-1, 4-7-1 CCHA) roll into the holiday break a game over .500 after splitting a two-game road set with the Bemidji State Beavers.

Junior winger Brent Walton led the Broncos to a 4-3 overtime win on Friday night with his first career hat-trick including the game-winner, just :12 seconds into overtime.

The Beavers got their revenge on Saturday, handing the Broncos a 4-2 defeat and their first non-conference loss of the year.

BSU out shot WMU 85-45 in two games.

The Broncos will now break and then play their final sixteen regular season games in the CCHA beginning with a home-and-home bill with conference leading and 3rd-ranked Michigan on January 7th in Ann Arbor.
