Michigan, WSU cop league honors

University of Michigan senior defenseman Brandon Rogers and freshman forward Kevin Porter have been named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week, the league announced yesterday. Rogers was selected as the top defensive player, while Porter garnered the league's rookie accolade. The duo helped Michigan to a two-game sweep of Notre Dame last weekend.

Wayne State freshman right wing Kristy Leng was named College Hockey America's rookie of the week after an assist in last weekend's two losses against Bemidji State. She also registered a +2 plus/minus rating on the weekend despite the Warriors allowing six goals and has had a positive plus/minus rating in four of her last five games.
