Paskaris earns national recognition

Wayne State freshman center Stavros Paskaris was the College Hockey America nominee for national rookie of the month for November. The national player and rookie of the month awards are sponsored by College Sports Television and honored with the Hockey Commissioner's Association award.

Paskaris had points in six of WSU's eight games in November as the Warriors went 4-3-1. He had three goals and four assists for seven points including a mutliple-point game in Wayne State's 3-2 victory at Robert Morris on Nov. 12, which was head coach Bill Wilkinson's 400th career win.

In addition to his power-play goal on Nov. 12, Paskaris scored a short-handed goal at Bowling Green which proved to be the game-winner. He finished the month with a +5 plus/minus rating.

Paskaris is currently leading the team in points (14), is second in goals (7) and third in assists (7).
