Michigan rebounds against Buckeyes

Michigan put together a five-goal second period Saturday night at Ohio State and held on for a 6-3 win over the Buckeyes.

Chad Kolarik scored twice in the middle period along with singles from Jeff Tambellini, Jason Ryznar and Eric Werner. T.J. Hensick added an empty-netter with 12 seconds left.

"I think we just kept a tempo," Ryznar said. "We got the puck deep, we limited our turnovers and started working down low. We got all of our four lines rolling. It just snowballed."

Al Montoya stopped 26 shots in the U of M (19-6-1, 16-2-0 CCHA) net. Senior captain Eric Nystrom chipped in with three assists.

The Wolverines host Northern Michigan this weekend at Yost Ice Arena. Game time Friday and Saturday is 7:35 p.m.
