The CCHA announced today that Michigan's Jeff Tambellini is the recipient of the Offensive Player of the Week award and Matt Hunwick earned the Defenseman of the Week award. The laurels are the second CCHA weekly honor for each player in the 2004-05 season.
A junior forward, Tambellini tallied three goals and two assists and had a plus/minus rating of +5 during U-M's home-and-home sweep of Western Michigan. Hunwick, a sophomore defenseman, earned three assists and was a +4 during the weekend series against the Broncos.
