After a stellar freshman campaign at Findlay last season, Wayne State sophomore goalie Will Hooper has been unable to post the same numbers with his new team as he did in 2003-04, en route to earning CHA all-rookie honors. Saturday, however, he made a career-best, and CHA season-high, 50 saves in the Warriors' 3-3 tie at Alabama-Huntsville. Included in his 50-save effort was a school-record 22 saves in the second period. He capped off the effort by stopping three shots in overtime to help preserve the tie.
