Matt Duchene’s first exposure to the Ontario Hockey League’s Brampton Battalion was a positive one.
Duchene, the fifth overall pick in the OHL Priority Selection on May 5, was one of 35 players who took part in the Battalion’s two-day minicamp, which ended Sunday.
“I was really impressed with how everything was conducted,” said Duchene, who has yet to commit to the Battalion. “It was very professional. The games were fun. So was the fitness testing.”
