Michigan State sent out a press release Monday addressing an incident from Sunday morning:“We are aware of on off-campus incident that occurred early Sunday morning. The MSU Athletics Department is cooperating fully with East Lansing Police in its open investigation.” - John Lewandowski, associate AD for communications
All rumors seem to be pointing towards a fight involving MSU football and hockey players and the police being called. Sophomore defenseman AJ Sturges has been hospitalized as a result of the incident and a Sparrow Hospital spokesperson confirmed this.

All of this in East Lansing comes on the heels of last week's football player-hockey player fight in Ann Arbor that saw junior Michigan defenseman Steve Kampfer wind up in the hospital.
