One goal in two games won't cut it in any league at any level and Michigan State found that out firsthand last weekend as the Spartans were swept aside at Ohio State.
Matt Schepke scored for No. 11 MSU and Jeff Lerg made 20 saves in last night's 3-1 loss.
Friday night, Lerg turned aside a season-best 46 shots, but the Buckeyes won, 3-0.
Michigan State (4-4-2, 2-2-2-2 CCHA), swept by OSU for the first time since the 2003-2004 season, returns to action next weekend when it hosts Miami at Munn Ice Arena.
