Michigan State won their first road game of the season last night at Miami, but couldn't come up with the sweep as the RedHawks came back to down the Spartans Saturday night.
Friday night, Jeff Lerg made 35 saves and Corey Tropp netted two goals in MSU's 4-1 win.
Tim Crowder (first goal since Nov. 28) and Dustin Gazely also scored for Michigan State, who snapped a four-game losing streak against No. 9 Miami.
Tonight, Lerg kicked out 54 shots to tie a career-best and Daultan Leveille scored in a 6-1 defeat.
MSU (7-14-3, 4-10-2-2) will play Michigan Friday night at Joe Louis Arena and then in Ann Arbor on Saturday night. Both games will be on Fox Sports Detroit at 7:35 p.m.
