Michigan split with the two Alaskan teams last weekend at the Kendall Hockey Classic.
Coming in at No. 2 are the Michigan State Spartans. Ranked near the bottom of our poll for much of 2008-2009, MSU looks to be rebounding well and looked sharp in sweeping Clarkson at home last weekend.
The rest of the poll is below.
1) Michigan (beat Alaska-Anchorage, lost to Alaska)
2) Michigan State (swept Clarkson)
3) Lake Superior State (lost to UMD, beat Michigan Tech)
4) Ferris State (split with Canisius)
5) Northern Michigan (beat UMD, lost to Michigan Tech)
6) Michigan Tech (lost to LSSU, beat Northern Michigan)
7) Western Michigan (idle)
Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. The poll will comprise the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.

How does MTU rank lower than NMU when they beat them handily to start the season.
The LA Kings are adding college players at a rate that outpaces the NHL average. There is an article up here talking about it: www.MayorsManor.com
It is an LA Kings site that also looks at hockey in general.
Check it out.
