CCHA Press ReleaseThe Central Collegiate Hockey Association today announced that junior forward Will Acton of Lake Superior State University has been suspended for one game, under the league’s supplemental discipline process, as the result of an incident that occurred in the game against Notre Dame last night.
The action was taken by the league after a review of an incident that occurred near the 11:28 mark of the second period and resulted in the player receiving a major penalty for charging.
Acton is ineligible to play in Lake Superior State’s next game, tonight against Notre Dame. He is eligible to return to the lineup on Feb. 5. Lake Superior State is idle Jan. 29-30.
