By Matt Mackinder/UM-MSU Beat Writer

Michigan State scored the game's first three goals and then held on for a 3-2 win at home over Michigan Friday night.

Corey Tropp scored twice to go along with a single from Andrew Rowe.

Drew Palmisano finished with 22 saves for the win in net.

The two teams meet again tomorrow night at Joe Louis Arena.

MiCHO staff writer and photographer Karl Henkel will be at the game with a live blog, exclusive photos and a game recap.

It's really a shame to see CCHA referees do such a hachet job on a game. This isn't Mite hockey. To watch both teams battle the way they did and have the refs do such a bad job is a shame.
