MiCHO Power Poll 01.12.2011

Michigan remains atop the MiCHO Power Poll this week, despite a home-and-home split with a spirited Michigan State squad.

Ferris State sits in the No. 2 spot, while Western Michigan rounds out the top three.

Northern Michigan suffered a sweep at the hands of Notre Dame and is in the fourth spot this week after a No. 2 ranking last poll.

Lake Superior State was off, but did win three exhibitions against Canadian schools.

At No. 6, MSU holds steady, while the hapless Michigan Tech Huskies bring up the rear.

1) Michigan (split with Michigan State)
2) Ferris State (swept Bowling Green)
3) Western Michigan (shootout win, win against Alaska)
4) Northern Michigan (swept by Notre Dame)
5) Lake Superior State (won three exhibitions - University of Ottawa, Ryerson and York)
6) Michigan State (split with Michigan)
7) Michigan Tech (swept by St. Cloud State)

Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. Contrary to popular belief, there is no coin flip involved. The poll comprises the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.
