Finlandia women swept by Augsburg

The Finlandia women were swept on the road last weekend by a high-scoring Augsburg (Minn.) team.

The Lions (0-4-0) suffered a 7-0 setback Friday night as sophomore goalies Katie Markovich and Alexa Watkins combined to make 33 saves.

Saturday afternoon, Finlandia took a 6-3 loss, but did get two goals from freshman Danielle Syrowik and a single from freshman Jenna Skradski.

Freshman goalie Corinne Czekaj made 29 saves.

Finlandia travels to Wisconsin-River Falls this weekend for games on Saturday (2:05 p.m.) and Sunday (3:05 p.m.). The games will mark the start of Finlandia's NCHA conference play.
