Booth tallies weekly CCHA honor

Michigan State junior forward David Booth was named the CCHA Offensive Player of the Week following his four-point performance in MSU's win and tie with Lake Superior State last weekend. It marks the first time in his career that he has earned CCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors.

After missing the Jan. 14-15 Western Michigan series due to the flu, Booth tallied a pair of goals and posted a +5 rating in Friday's 8-0 win over the Lakers for his second multiple-point game of the season and his first multiple-goal game of the year. In Saturday's 2-2 tie, Booth finished with a goal and an assist for his third multiple-point game of the season.

He was the Perani Cup No. 2 Star of the Game both nights.
