The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced recently they have agreed to terms with forward Tylor Michel, a 2008 Wayne State graduate, on a contract for the 2008-2009 season.
The 24-year-old Michel signed with the Condors after completing his career at WSU last March and had two assists and two penalty minutes in four regular season games and four penalty minutes in six Kelly Cup playoff games.
Michel, a Sudbury, Ontario native, played four seasons with the Warriors, recording 22 points (7g-15a) in 37 games during his senior season.
Two classmates of Michel's - forwards Derek Bachynski (GIJS Grizzlies) and 2007-2008 captain Mike Forgie (Deggendorfer SC) - signed pro contracts with European clubs this offseason. A slew of teammates from WSU's final team last year have also transferred.
