MiCHO Power Poll 01.20.10

Despite getting just a single point on the weekend against Notre Dame, Michigan State vaults back on top in this week's MiCHO Power Poll.

Ferris State drops to No. 2 after getting swept by Miami, while Lake Superior State leapfrogs Michigan into the three-hole with a sweep of Nebraska-Omaha. The Wolverines beat and tied Alaska last weekend.

The bottom three in the poll remain the same with Northern Michigan at No. 5, Western Michigan one back and Michigan Tech in the cellar.

1) Michigan State (lost, tied Notre Dame)
2) Ferris State (swept by Miami)
3) Lake Superior State (swept Nebraska-Omaha)
4) Michigan (beat, tied Alaska)
5) Northern Michigan (beat, tied Bowling Green)
6) Western Michigan (idle)
7) Michigan Tech (swept by Alaska-Anchorage)

Each week, MichiganCollegeHockey.com staffers will compile the MiCHO Power Poll. The poll will comprise the seven Division I teams in the state of Michigan.

How do you guys do this? Draw straws?
You bounce teams around this poll so erratically it seems you have no logic.

Ferris State and Michigan State are 1 and 1A IMO. LSSU got swept by Michigan earlier this season in SSM and have played the underbelly of their schedule up until they played MSU two weeks ago. I'd still pick Michigan over them even if they are ahead of them in the standings. That won't last for long, just look at who LSSU is playing the next ten games.

Northern is down this season and hasn't even started their annual second half surge yet (they better hurry.)

Western is better than MTU.

MTU just sucks, but their band is cool.

Hey Anon, why don't you grow a pair and leave a name? Typical troll who's too scared to be a man, but more than willing to hide out like a wuss.
